A valley couple is facing charges after they were accused of stealing millions of dollars.
Clint and Angela Rogers are well-known for running an international ministry in the east valley.
Now, the U.S. attorney’s office says they were up to no good, stealing from banks and other lending companies. They are accused of taking two and a half million dollars.
According to the complaint filed in federal court, the “Defendants submitted simultaneous loan applications for multiple real estate purchases without disclosing other pending applications” and “artificially inflated the sales price of the real estate.” It also says they “directed portions of the proceeds to themselves through the use of entities such as Clint Rogers Ministries.”
The couple was released from custody on their own recognizance. They are each charged with 13 counts of conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering and if convicted, could spend years behind bars.
