After this piece aired, Todd Bentley’s “Ministry” web site announced that Todd would be taking a break and then GODTV announced that it would also take a break from Live broadcasts of the Lakeland “revival” on their Satellite TV Network.

It was rather odd the timing of all this as it seemed this week that the debates about Todd Bentley were reaching a crescendo. I for one was getting into some quite heated debates with some from the Assembly of God over Todd Bentley. My point in these debates being that The AOG leadership was being a bit too vague on their public statements in regards to Todd Bentley.
Many took offence that I would question the Lakeland “Revival” from my point of view because it did not meet any of the criteria for what were some of the great historical Revivals in History. Not to mention that what was happening in the “Revival” nor did the personalities in the “Revival” align with God’s word but in many cases were opposed to it!
What I found so shocking is that people were quick to cast aside their supposed stand on God’s Word as the standard and rule for their faith in order to condone “Signs and Wonders”. They were even quicker to ignore and cast aside numerous warnings and admonitions within God’s word to “Test the Spirits”!
1 John 4:1-3:
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
I had some who said they “tuned” into GODTV because Todd Bentley stated he healed in Jesus’ name and they saw nothing wrong “doctrinally” with what he was saying. But can you truly just “tune” in for a little while and give tacit approval because you hear a man say he heals’ in Jesus name? And they used the above passage as back up to say, Well Todd Bentley confesses Christ! Therefore he must be real!
But is that all we need to do? Is that all that the above passage meant we had to do in order to agree that someone is of Christ? I think not!
The Apostle Paul gives some great insight in 2 Corinthians 11:12-15 on why we cannot just leave it at that:
But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Do you see what Paul says in the bold print? Satan’s Ministers can “also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness”! How can a “Satan’s Ministers” transform themselves into ministers of Righteousness unless they say they believe in Christ? And not only believe but also say that they do things in his name?
Charles Spurgeon said that Discernment is not the ability to recognize right from wrong, but to recognize Right from Almost Right! And this is what False Prophets do! They get it so close that it seems to be alright! Charles Spurgeon’s words just as the Apostle Paul’s Words are not saying look for the “Perfect” Revival and only the “Perfect Revival” will be the real one, they are saying something much deeper. And that is False Prophets and False Moves of God will give tell tale signs that things are not right! And that we are to rely on God’s Word to “Test The Spirits” ALL OF GOD’S WORD! Not pieces of it taken out of context! ALL OF IT! As the Word of God has power! The Holy Spirit dwells within God’s Word and when we rely on it, The Holy Spirit will help us “rightly divide” it! And further will quicken our sprit to what is not of God!
What I found troubling in those who would defend Lakeland is they would condone this “almost right”. I was attacked heavily by some who said “there never has been a perfect revival in history” and that in all revivals there was a “flesh element” and a “God Element” and that instead of issuing warnings about false prophets we should just pray that the “God Element” increased! But again where they erred is they would piece meal God’s Word! They gave an unhealthy emphasis to the portion of God’s word that speaks about not “judging” and on the portions that speak about faith and healing!
But they would completely ignore the much larger portions that tell us how to test whether someone or something is of God! And this is where today’s Church is falling into a ditch! And heading straight into deception and the false Church! Todd Bentley’s own website had on it teachings that were straight from the New Age Movement. Clearly diametrically opposed to God’s word, and as complaints began to flood into Fresh Fire Ministries these teachings were removed! And Also what was spoken in the Lakeland services changed as complaints came in over Un-Biblical things Todd Bentley and others were saying and doing! Now does this not confirm that “Ministers of Satan” were transforming themselves into “Ministers of righteousness” in order to deceive others as the crowds grew?
Just as in Jesus day, sadly, most of those who surrounded Jesus did not care about the Word of God, nor did they believe in the One whom God had sent! Filling their stomachs with food was more important to them than filling their hearts with the truth that could save them from God’s judgment.
John 6:26-27
Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”
John 6:41-69:
The Jews then complained about Him, because He said, “I am the bread which came down from heaven.” And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. Thus, many disciples turned away, no longer accompanying Jesus because of His difficult teachings. However, among those who followed Jesus were some who would not leave Him, because they were convinced that Jesus was the Messiah, the Holy One from God–the Bread of Life–the “True Food” which gives eternal life!
People today seek after “felt needs”, they are so desperate to get what they think “they need” from God but do not want to live the life that Christ asks us to live, nor do they want to “sit at his feet” and learn from him(study his word) if you are not willing to “Take up your cross” and follow Jesus, which means denying your “felt needs”, denying what you think you need an do not sit at his feet learning, then you will be deceived by false Prophets and Lying Spirits!
In all the hours I watched the Lakeland “Revival” I saw NO ONE healed, I did not see Todd Bentley preach ONCE on repentance! I did not ONCE see Todd Bentley preach on Salvation! I did not ONCE see Todd Bentley teach the Word of God! Now take that and read the article below titled “What is Revival“!
I felt heavy in my heart for those who went to Lakeland truly needing a miracle from God, but I Believe in my heart the events of this week say that God shut this deception down. God had mercy on those who came truly needing a miracle, and he has allowed the true fruit of Todd Bentley to be exposed so the truly needy would not be deceived any longer!
As for whether Todd Bentley was an active deceiver or a passive ignorant deceiver, I am undecided on that. What I pray for now is that God would lead this man into truth. This “break” may give Todd Bentley if he is a passive ignorant deceiver time to repent and truly meet Jesus!

“1 John 4:1-3:

The test in this verse is not Jesus Christ, but that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. The doctrinal problem of the first century that has lasted to this day is gnosticism. The main emphasis of the gnostic heresy was a denial that Jesus Christ had a physical body, because physical things themselves are evil. What John is saying in I John is that Christ was not only flesh, but that he is God as well. This was finally refined into this statement: He is very God of very God and very man of very man, in other words the Lord Jesus Christ was fully man and fully God. The principle that lies here is that anything that is not Christo-centric in the full sense of this word is not of God. I would think that most of what you see in the faith healing movement and in all that goes with it is a tacit denial of being Christ centered.

Great article. However, I do not think for one second TBs’ ministry is over or on hold. I am in Louisville, Kentucky and he is coming to the biggest AOG church here on July 17th.
I am sure it is to “impart” TBs’ “greatness” to the pastor of this mega church. It is to open up gates and portals over this city that will be calling forth demons disguised as angels. I am so disgusted by this “move of God” and so grieved and angry that christians… seasoned ones at that, can swallow this garbage. One would think they never cracked open their Bible!
TBs’ motives is to “open gates and portals” all over the nation. All in the name of the Lord. Yeah? Which Lord? It certainly is not the REAL JESUS. This is so occultic!
I had a friend who I fellowshipped with for years. She ended up joining the cult of blab it and grab it. I tried reasoning with her through email about this false revival that has her so bewitched. No amount of reasoning or no amount of the Word of God would convince her. She wrote me the following, which explains very well what they are all about:
“As for there being a great revival: This move of God is about mobilizing the body for the harvest at the end of the age that Jesus said in Matt 13:39. This outpouring is going to be greater than every previous outpourings of the Spirit, because this time the gospel will change from “Come and be saved,” to “Bow the knee, Jesus is King!”
This will of necessity require the body of Christ to be mobilized and prepare the laborers for the work. God is calling the laborers. That’s what I meant by this move of God.”
Anyone see the poison in that? I do. They want us to “bow the knee” to their “Jesus.” The one they have created in their image. One who tells people to kick little old ladies in the face with his biker boot! One who thinks it is ok to punch people in the stomach with cancer! One that teaches heresy after hersey! They have taken away the Cross! The gosple will change???? WHAT is that about??? No longer come and be changed??? They have taken away the cross. Heretics! Apostates!
My ex-friend said, “This will of necessity require the body of Christ to be mobilized and prepare the laborers for the work. God is calling the laborers.” What does this mean? Read between the lines, you who are in the remnant. It means they… the false ones will at some point DEMAND that we line up with them in single file letting the wicked ones lead us. I will NOT! I will NOT bow to their “Jesus.” I will NOT bow to these people in any way shape or form! I will NOT let their “annointings” intimidate me!
This is war! And I hear the Lord telling me, “Come out of her, my people!” Too long we, the church have put up with demon doctrines, too long we have put up with the leaven, too long we have PASSIVELY sat by and just put up with the ones who have set themselves up as someone great in the church. Not daring to question or we offend their “greatness.” Fearing being called ‘religious, jezabelle, rebellious.’ NO MORE!
The line is being drawn. I will NOT fellowship with anyone who is either too stupid or lazy to test all things! I will NOT
fellowship with anyone who has created a different Jesus than who is in the Word of God! I will NOT fellowship with anyone who is part of this Great Falling Away! I will NOT drink their kool-aid!
TEST ALL THINGS! I exhort everyone to spend time with the Lord, get into His Word and see what He would have each of us to do. May the TRUE Bride of Christ arise out of her slumber!

We will be praying for you; also for the Louisville, Kentucky area – my husband is from Kentucky.
We are in Lakeland, FL and prayed that TB would be ‘exposed’ for what he really is – this has happened……..the impact will be greater than we can comprehend right now.
The bigger problem is the ministries in this area that have propagated heresy for decades. Too long have the ‘area’ ministers been quiet and lived along side these ‘noted’ ministers/ministries because of their ‘status’ in the A/G or popularity with the people.
The magnitude of the problem we are seeing today started decades ago when ‘a little heresy’ was tolerated…because no one wanted to confront a ‘brother’.
Even though outright ‘unrighteousness’ has been judged by civil authorities in some cases ….the ‘church’ has been quiet too long, thus we have the ‘unpaid bill of the church’.
I, for one, see that changing and the ‘remnant’ are being separated out from the rest….. In addition, the sheep coming out from among them are hearing a clear mandate to: warn of coming judgment ~ starting with the household of God.~

Now we can better understand why the Lord spoke so often of ‘those with ears to hear and eyes to see.’ It is appalling how blind and deaf today’s believers are to truth and sound doctrine. How quickly they will abandon their faith in Christ for a few shiny trinkets and a good dose of emotional hype.

Jesus spoke this to the scribes and Pharisees… not very flattering. Today’s ‘religious leaders’ are demonstrating the very same kind of carnal wisdom and discernment as the Pharisee’s of old. And when their lack and the error of their teaching is pointed out, they respond with the very same kind of anger and gnashing of teeth.
Where is the demonstration of holiness, (without which no man shall see God – Heb. 12:14)?
The name of Jesus is used sparingly, while men exalt and lift up themselves and one another. And what is all this ‘Fire! Fire!’??… they have no idea what they are asking for. They might do well to do a study of fire in the Word of God.
“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel” Isa 5:24.
“Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow” Isa 50:11.
“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces” Jer 23:29?
“As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world” Mat 13:40.
“He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth” Mat 13:37-42.
The fire that is coming is going to do a cleansing, purifying work in the Church. And all that is not of God is going to be utterly destroyed. That should be sobering enough to give pause to those running after the false manifestations, but it is not. Jesus did not seem overly concerned with the false ones in His day. He told His disciples, “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
These things are grievous to behold, but we were told to expect such conduct in the last days. It is one thing to read it in God’s Word, but quite another to have it in our faces in real life. Surely the time is very short. May we seek the Lord with every fiber of our being, that we not be deceived.
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” Eph 6:13.

Remember dear Christian brothers and sisters, the war FOR TRUTH is NOT OVER. Todd Bentley is just one symptom of the problem. When it seemed that he was losing the battle a powerful reinforcing army came forth for his defense. It was then, that we could see the seriousness of the problem that is facing the church appear. Forces that have been received for years came out into the open before the entire world that exposed witchcraft practices and doctrines of devils.
We were accused of “dividing the Body of Christ.” Touching God’s anointed,” Blaspheming the Holy Ghost,” and every strange thing in the world while a very perverse man was snatching souls in front of the world.
I was part of an army of women in the seventies that fought against the ERA. Our side won that battle and defeated the radical women libbers. However, every bit of that Constitutional Amendment is part of our lives today. Congress legislated it piece by piece into existence. We are living today with so many radical things because the women that won that battle simply went back to sleep.
Church don’t go back to sleep! Keep alert and by all means Todd is simply one little piece of the raging battle for the church. Keep fighting on and defeat the gates of hell that Jesus promised would not prevail against the church.
Remember, his release said he was taking a rest, it didn’t say that he was not coming back.
OPENING THE PORTALS TO THE THIRD HEAVENS TO THE DEMONIC REALMS ~ PETER WAGNER SAYS, TODD BENTLEY is the”PORTAL (STAR GATE) TO THE FUTURE” He also said that they are connecting heaven’s gate to earth! According to the Bible, God’s Kingdom has already come to the Earth. Jesus Christ is the Mediator that has already connected God’s Kingdom to the Earth and heaven, See Ephesians Chapter one. It is a power that is not Bentley’s and Wagner’s to give.
We must not forget the group of mystical Christians operating in extra-biblical fashion to open the paranormal doors to heaven TO THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH. It is a tremendously large army called Joel’s Army that is still on the move to conquer the church and millions of souls.

Terminology used: Apostolic Alignment, Gatekeepers, opening portals to the Third Heavens.
Think about it. We have Christian’s leaders who are “Opening the Star Gates to bring forth supernatural entities that they are calling angels (the Winds of Change and to the Nations). Many Christians are sleeping and do not know that they are mixing the Christian faith with witchcraft.”

Todd Bentley’s childhood was abusive and one without the love of an adult or Jesus. Children who live through this kind of environment grow up to be disfunctional adults. With intensive counseling, accountability, mentors, love, and faith in Jesus Christ there can be hope for these fractured people. Why might Bentley believe as he does? How do abused children survive? With escape into an imaginery world where they find safety, albeit unreal.
Bentley admits to very little counseling after receiving Christ. Soon he declares himself minister and Fresh Fire Ministries takes him in as leader. He gets a following, income and develops a healling/revival ministry that goes on the road. He attracts the attention of some established (questionable) ministries who affirm him. In his mind he has achieved credibility and it feels good. He becomes more bold in relating outlandish visions of angels with names associated with demons who direct him. He manifests signs, wonders, miracles – (ever hear about Kundalini?) And the people come and listen and copy what they see. It spreads.
Without the people, he would be nothing. It is the people who lack discernment, who demand signs from God. Why? Pastors need to teach the infallible truth of the scriptures and quit preaching a prophetic word that goes beyond scripture – counterfeit theology. Pastors and believers need to have a boldness to speak out against false doctrine. No more complacency.
I am thankful for these websites. Bentley hasn’t hit NYS and few know of him. Early on I sensed something “evil” in this Lakeland stuff. I was driven to read scripture. My adult daughter is caught up in this “third heaven stuff, Joyner, godtv…” and I ignored her until Bentley. It has made me into a warrior for the Truth. I challenge readers of this post not to wait for a starting signal, it has already sounded. There are other Bentleys out there waiting to take advantage of us and those we love.
