Nothing like being blatantly biased against Christianity! Now what do you think the school district would say to a Christian student if that student didnt want to read an Atheist book!

A Newton high school sophomore will not be required to read excerpts from the Bible after he refused to read the passages for an assignment because he is an atheist.
Newton South High School officials dropped the reading requirement for student Jack Summers, 15, who objected, saying “This is the word of God. People take this literally … I don’t want to read about what they believe to be true,” according to the Newton Tab.
The reading is part of a literature assignment for an honors English class that also includes writings by Charles Dickens.
Officials said the school doesn’t read from actual Bibles and instead distributes handouts with the Biblical passages. After Summers refused to read the passages and failed quizzes on the subject, his mother went to school officials with concerns, the newspaper reported.
The school said it would drop the failing quizzes and allow Summers to complete a project that doesn’t use the Bible.
What if this was instead of the Bible, Darwins, On the Origin of Species and did not want to take it literally, so instead took it figuratevely would that be taken seriously? Liberals want us to tear the Bible apart, but believe in the other Icons without tearing them apart. Maybe what is all messed up is the whole liberal anti-Christian agenda that is going on in this nation now. Maybe what is realy wrong is leaving the Bible out of the schools in the first place. I had a debate in a high school class in 1964 on of all subjects Creationism vs. Evolution and not a single objection was made. In the mean time we have had a constant barage of interpretations mad on the 1963 Supreme Court Decision that really are a contradiction to what the Constitution says. No where in that document does it teach separation of church and state, but instead it forbids the establishment of a church supported state religion. Guess what we now have a state religion supported by our very own government that is far worse then anything else. Ateistic humanism is now the religion of our nation and they want to obliterate any competition in any way possible.
