Nothing surprises me any more with this deceiver, his very words show who his “father” is, Satan himself.
In this missive from his website he says:
Ramadan is the Muslim holy month of fasting for spiritual renewal and purification. It commemorates the month during which Muslims believe Mohammed received the Quran through divine revelation, and it calls Muslims to self-control, sacrificial generosity and solidarity with the poor, diligent reading of the Quran, and intensified prayer.
This year, I, along with a few Christian friends (and perhaps others currently unknown to us will want to join in) will be joining Muslim friends in the fast which begins August 21. We are not doing so in order to become Muslims: we are deeply committed Christians. But as Christians, we want to come close to our Muslim neighbors and to share this important part of life with them. Just as Jesus, a devout Jew, overcame religious prejudice and learned from a Syrophonecian woman and was inspired by her faith two thousand years ago (Matthew 15:21 ff, Mark 7:24 ff), we seek to learn from our Muslim sisters and brothers today.
Here Mr. Mclaren actually has the ignorance to suggest that Jesus, the Son of God, the second person in the trinity, who was pre-existent with God the Father before the creation of the Earth & Heavens (see also: 101 Translations of John 1:1) actually had to “learn” something from the phonecian woman in the Biblical passages he sites!
He ignores what the plain text says by suggesting that the passages he cites actually mean Jesus was “learning” how to honor “god” in another way, or in other words via a pagan woman’s beliefs! Can you believe this?
The passages he cites say nothing remotely to what he suggests! What the passages do PLAINLY say is that the woman’s recognition of and Faith in Christ Jesus as the Son of God and the Savior of the World saved her daughter!
Secondly Jesus was expressing an eternal truth in his statements to the woman! He was saying that he had come first as the expected Jewish Messiah to the Jews! And then secondly as the Savior to all Gentiles who would believe in him! But his work with his fellow Jews came first and had to be completed first, however any Gentile who soought after him, gave recognition of who he was and accepted him WOULD be saved!
The passage does NOT in any remote possible way give ANY validity to ANY false belief system!
It makes me VERY angry to see false teachers & charlatans such as Mr. Mclaren shred scripture in order to decieve people! It shows he is truly from Satan himself.
As when you ignore the plain and clear meaning within scripture in order to deceive people you are doing the same as Satan did in the Garden of Eden when he said in Genesis 3:1: “Yea, hath God said”

What a blasphemy to say that Jesus had religious prejudice to overcome and that woman helped him to overcome it.

It would seem that Mr. Mclaren is questioning the eternal divinity of Christ throughout this article.
No wonder he has no problem participating in the rituals of false religions.
By that comment…McLaren indicates that he is both not
knowledgeable of scriptures and he will twist scriptures to serve his non Biblical purposes.
To even suggest that Jesus had prejudices and needed the teaching of a “pagan” worshipper to get “insight” is beyond belief.
By that statement, McLaren reduces Jesus to a man gullible
to following that which is not of his Father in heaven.
How anyone could follow this McLaren guy is beyond me.
His wanting to learn from Muslims by participating in Ramadan is again showing that he subscribes to a doctrine of demons and wants to join or be yoked up with unbelievers.
Mark my words, unless he repents, McLaren is open game for a deceptive spirit to have his become an apostate.

The Bible tells us there are 5 basic principles in handling the Word that are needed to shipwreck faith: -
1. Diminish the Word. (Many ways to do this: Add or delete; use other “authorities” such as bad science, evolution, prominent leaders etc.)
2. Doubt the Word: (1. Sets up the immature to say, “I doubt God means; I doubt God would mind etc.)
3. Disregard the Word. (Now philosophy can mold theology and it’s impossible not to stray from the Word. Holiness is trivialized and fitting in is more important as a witness.)
4. Disobey the Word. (Well it’s full of errors, isn’t literal and it’s out of date. Totally confused the Word is an occasional read and never mind God commanded it to 1000 generations.)
5. Dispise the Word. (When this tare seed is fully mature and brings forth it’s poisoned fruit, it’s common to hear, “I used to be a Christian but blah, blah
God demands we humble ourselves and tremble at His Word. Brian is an exalted fool speaking stout words against a God who takes note. What will God do?
God will use Brian to fulfill His Word that warns us of deceivers and doctrines of demons infesting the church in the last days while most have itching ears to hear what pleases them because they hate the truth. So as the Lord Jesus said to Judas, go and do as you must.

We need to really search the scriptures ourselves and know what the bible has to say. I have noticed more and more of this type of representation of Jesus.
I am learning more and more that the label Christian has been very watered down in the United States. We need to be disciples of Jesus Christ, and point others to the Truth of scripture!
