Colossians 2:18:
Let no man beguile you of your reward (concerns false doctrine) in a voluntary humility (refers to self-abasement) and worshipping of Angels (pertained to the Gnostic teaching; this false teaching claimed man could not go directly to God through Jesus Christ, but rather must reach after God through successive grades of intermediate beings, i.e., “Angels!”), intruding into those things which he has not seen (refers to going outside the revealed Word of God), vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind (”mind of the flesh,” which means it’s not the Mind of God),
Momonisn goes outside the revealed Word of God and hence like Gnosticism is a result of the “mind of the flesh” not “the Mind of God” hence it cannot be of God!
If the Apostle Paul took the time to write an Epistle to the Church in Colosse, which is now part of the Cannon of Scripture, The “Revealed Word of God” to warn them against such false teachings dont you think Mr. Joel Osteen a self proclaimed Christian Spiritual Leader should be warning people against Mormonism?
This is why knowledgeable bible-believing Christians need to speak out, but they will have to shout over the noise of the world’s applause! We cannot be silent about this man who was named the most influential Christian in America.
