For those advocating that we judge not, I think an analogy is good to understand this:
If you see someone who has jumped from the 12th floor of a skyscraper and you commented that the guy was going to die, wd that be judging?
It's necessary that as the church, we reevaluate our message of evangelism. the basic message of Isaiah 53 needs to remain, that all we like sheep have gone astray, but the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
The Christian walk has so many challenges but we need to base all that we do not on our feelings but on what the unchanging word of God says!
We did not become christians to feel good but to experience of the love of Christ- taking Him as both our LORD and Friend.

My thinking as to why he was depressed was becuz he was in the wrong and as God said to Cain, why are you feeling this way, if you do right, no need to worry, basically. But sin was crouching at the door, and it was waiting for Mr. Boltz, but he did not know it, and now says he is happy and that is what God wants, I have heard this tune before. I am not judging his life, but I have recognized this in people when they go off from the known boundaries of God's will. What this author mentions of this blog is right, these things are in some of the churches, this attitude and not sin being the reason. But Mr. Boltz chose!!! And what I have learned from being an alcoholic is that no is to blame for my continued use, when I was drinking some years back, that I am the one who picked it up, not my mother, my father, my brother, etc. I did it! Not the self-esteem church, not the wrong emphasis in churches, but me!!! As is Mr. Boltz!
Honestly his unhappiness came from him knowing that he was not fulfilling God's will for his life at times and I can say I know this from my own life! But I can change this, this is not the end of the story!
he thought his unhappines came form repressing his "inborn" desire to be a same sex person and had to repress it, his unhappiness came from feeling he could never be what HE wanted as long as he was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, but He made himself first and himself God and somewhere left off following the one true God, Jesus Christ, God's remission and solution for our sins and iniquities and and the panacea for our ills and rebellions and dissatisfaction! He is all those things. He took his eyes off of Him!! This is the problem almost every time, we put our eyse on our problems, our circumstances, our "unsolvable" problems, on why we it would be too hard for God to fix and then we find the solution of one madee by our own hands!
