The man loves the limelight and glory pointing to him more than he loves the Truth. Watch him mock God’s innerant word with a laugh!
I attend Saddleback Church and I consider myself a Fundamentalist. Needless to say it troubles me greatly to hear Rick’s words as shown in the comedy central interview.
He says that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, and as a Fundamentalist I agree whole heartedly and will not accept any dogma other than the Bible. As a fundamentalist I use the Bible to make decisions on what is right and wrong. I accept the entire Bible, even the parts that may not make sense in today’s world. I don’t pretend to understand how God thinks. He is God, and I am not.
Now Rick has seemed to say that he feels he is not a fundamentalist, and is critical of fundamentalists. If Rick truly means this and feels there are other ways to live one’s life than Biblically, then I will have to find another church to attend where the Pastor will embrace the Bible, and shun the world. Can you Rick still be my pastor?
