I think you paint a pretty well rounded picture of the lives and living standards of these mothers while under the care of Anand, the “baby farm”. However, what are the backgrounds of the surrogates that would drive them to be so willing to undertake the risks of a pregnancy for money? What are the socio-political implications of the rich renting the needy for a nine-month play-date? What is the legislature governing the adoptions, and what rights do both surrogate and biological mothers hold over their child?
